The nails were originally hand forged in 1815 and earlier! A minimum of 210 years old with the centuries of patina intact!
My husband and I collected these while deconstructing his family farm home here in South Dakota 40+ years ago. The main part of the home was built in 1815 which is where these historic nails came from.
2.5 inch iron nails hand-forged in 1815 or before! Made by blacksmiths using fire, anvil, a huge hammer and lots of blacksmith's sweat!
A striking arrangement of antique 210-year-old (hand collected by my husband and I from a family homestead) iron nails held together with copper wire. Named after the phantom queen who historically was associated with war, fate, and foretelling of doom, death, or victory in battle, the Mor-Rioghain cross is designed to ward off evil and negative spirits.
The iron in the nails is historically reported to defend against evil and bad luck, as well as the iron having a history of being effective in bringing and preserving good luck. Securely wrapped with copper for a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing talisman.
The nails used measure 2.5" but other optional sizes may be available upon request.
With necklace chain options of (see picture) silver, gold, antique bronze, black and copper!
The wire on the cross will be dark copper but is also available upon request in gold, silver, black, bright copper and more!
